The Barrington Area Library will host "LinkedIn Networking and Marketing" for small business with Michael Yublosky from SCORE Chicago on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Michael will show you the ten steps that you can take to build your brand with the features and tools that LinkedIn offers. This program will take place at 7 pm at the Barrington Village Hall (200 S. Hough Street, Barrington, IL 60010). Parking is available in the lot on the west side of the Village Hall.

Small business owners: Harper College's Small Business Development Center will be hosting Financial Boot Camp for Small Business Owners in May. This series will help business owners manage their finances to optimize performance and successfully grow a business.

On Sunday, April 13, the Barrington Area Library hosted Keith Weber of Emvion Inc. to discuss starting a tech business in Chicago. With experience in various start-ups, robotics labs, grants for small businesses, and pitch competitions, Weber discussed how technology and business meet.
