What inspired you to start an online business?
I had my first taste of online career freedom when I started working remotely doing sales and marketing for small businesses. I knew that this type of work was where I wanted my career and future to go. The flexibility was perfect for me and my young family. I also learned quickly that the skills you need to do really well in a position online is all very simple to learn. We have so many tools at our fingertips that are needed to build our skillset and have an online career or business.
What is a really memorable experience that you've had in your online business endeavors?
So far, my most memorable experience in the business has been a conference where I got to meet several of my business superstar mentors and role models. This included Jack Canfield, Les Brown, former Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington, and more! I also recall a few friends from high school who contacted me online and were shocked when they saw that some of my content had gone viral- it was pretty funny! I had to laugh and quote The Anchorman, "I'm kinda big deal."
How do you help other people get started in their own online business?
I currently help other people get started in their own online business through online educational platforms, video tutorials and tools, like "The Website Traffic Solution", and one-on-one training.
Everyday I work on new content to help my readers learn more. I also like to point my readers and clients to resources that have helped me in my own journey.
Anyone can do this, I really believe that. If you can start a Facebook account and set up a profile, you can go online and sign up for classes and build a business.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about family and leaving a legacy of inspiring other people to live life more fully. I am passionate about self education and technology because these days there are so many tools at our fingertips; we just have to be smart and make a plan in order to create the life that we love. I am passionate about helping other people see a bigger picture: if there is someone who is doing what you want, just model them and learn what you have to learn in order to make your ideal life your real life.
What are you most proud of?
I am really proud of myself for taking the reigns of my education and the fact that I never stopped learning even after graduating from college. I never liked traditional education so I started learning and training from private mentors, people in the business, and at seminars, conferences, and from books. I am proud of my perseverance and ability to get backed up every time I fail. I am proud of my blog that has reached millions of people. I'm proud to have a voice and to stand for what I believe in through my business and lifestyle.
