The Barrington Public Library District announces that the following Library Trustee positions will be on the ballot for the April 6, 2027, Consolidated Election:
• Two (2) full-term, six-year Library Trustee seats

Candidate Courtesy Packets: As a courtesy to prospective candidates, courtesy packets will be available beginning Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 9 AM. Packets may be picked up at the Customer Service Desk on the first floor of the Barrington Public Library District, 505 N. Northwest Hwy., Barrington, IL, during regular Library hours:
• Monday–Friday: 9 AM - 9 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM - 5 PM
• Sunday: 1 PM - 5 PM

Candidate Filing Period: Candidates must file their nomination papers with the Election Official at the Barrington Area Library during the following filing period:
Filing Dates: November 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 23, 2026
Filing Hours:
9 AM to 12 PM;
1 PM to 5 PM
Simultaneous Filing Lottery Notice: If required, a simultaneous lottery to determine ballot placement will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Meeting Room B.
