Robert Louis “Bob” Hayes was born March 22, 1955 in Elgin to Warren C. and Elaine Faulkner Hayes.
Hayes served in the U.S. Navy from 1976 to 1980 as a Radioman Third Class - a petty officer who specializes in naval communications technology, such as operating and maintaining radio systems, transmitting messages, and managing telecommunications networks.
Hayes employed his USN electronics training by becoming the owner of Sound Advice Instrument Repair in Barrington.
RM3 Bob Hayes died February 16, 1997 in Barrington, and is buried with his family in Evergreen Cemetery.
