Harold Edward “Jack” Reinhart was born August 31, 1920 on the family farm in Carey, Ohio to Linus and Esther Brooks Reinhart.
Reinhart graduated from Ohio State University in 1942, with a degree in agricultural education.
In 1942, he enlisted for World War II service in the U.S. Navy. After Officer’s Training at Princeton University, he was stationed on the aircraft carrier, USS Kadashan Bay in the Pacific Theatre, as a Lieutenant Junior Grade.
Before leaving for the war, Reinhart married Mary Frances Trossen on July 14, 1943 in Cleveland; they raised twelve children.
Reinhart had a very successful 40-year career at International Harvester working in sales and marketing. He was known for his integrity and professionalism, warmth and dedication.
When he retired Jack focused on his passion for gardening, and became more involved in St Anne’s Catholic Parish.
LTJG Jack Reinhart passed away on May 8, 2018 and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
