David Arthur Landa, Jr. was born April 6, 1956, in Oakland, California, to David and Carole Jean Lamers Landa.
Landa joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Barrington High School in 1975. He attained the rank of Specialist 4th Class before his honorable discharge.
Landa worked at Ace Hardware in Barrington; he enjoyed old cars and movies, his coin collection and spending time with his friends.
SP4 Dave Landa passed away January 11, 2003 in Racine, Wisconsin, and is buried with his parents in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
