Jeffrey Douglas "Jeff" Seidel, 45, was born December 16, 1959, in Crystal Lake, to James J. and Shirley Letchford Seidel.
Seidel served in the Navy from January, 1985 until his honorable discharge as a Machinist’s Mate in January, 1988. An MM2 in the US Navy is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing ship propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment, and specialized systems like steering engines, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
He worked for years afterward as a plumber. He loved fishing, motorcycles and fast cars.
Seidel was married to Trish Coopmans.
MM2 Jeff Seidel died unexpectedly in Walton, Kentucky, on Saturday, May 28, 2005. He is buried with family members in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
