Marshall Knudsen was born May 8, 1916 in Chicago to Conrad and Hannah Olsen Knudsen.

He enlisted for service in World War II on August 8, 1941, and served in the U.S. Army until his honorary discharge as a Private First Class in September, 1945.

Following his military service, Knudsen was in business with his brothers as a flooring and carpet contractor in Lake Zurich.

Knudsen relocated to Florida in the mid-1970’s, where he was real estate investor, often with one of his brothers.

PFC Marshall Knudsen died May 30, 1993 near Jacksonville, Florida, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery with his brothers, Clifford and Glenn who were also U.S. Army Veterans of World War II.
