Ralph Earl White was born May 26, 1896 in Elgin to James H. and Emma Crawford White.

White entered military service for World War I on January 19, 1917, and served in the U.S. Army  until April 3, 1919, when he was honorably discharged as a Corporal. 

He worked briefly for the Chicago and Northwest Railroad as a switchman. His primary vocation was selling insurance and advertising.

On February 21, 1944, he married Clara A. Schmidt, a nurse from Palatine, in Niles, Michigan. 

CPL Ralph E. White died December 17, 1972, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
