Thomas James Roxworthy was born February 25, 1927 in Lake Forest, to Thomas and Georgine Thompson Roxworthy.
Roxworthy served in the U.S. Navy from May 1, 1944 to May 2, 1946 as a Seaman First Class on LSM-378, an amphibious ship that supported the Marine Corps in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
On July 31, 1948, he married Dorothy E. Peterson in Barrington; they had three children before parting.
S1 Thomas Roxworthy died October 29, 1979 in Mishawaka, Indiana, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
