SP4 Wayne L. Scott

Wayne Larry Scott was born April 21, 1940, in McRae, Arkansas, to Marvin R. and Elouise Robison Scott.
After the family relocated to Barrington in 1955, Scott graduated from Barrington High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Lawrence College in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.
Scott reported for duty December 12, 1962, and served in the 304th Signal Battalion, which provided tactical communications support to United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, U.S. Forces Korea, Eighth Army, and non-DOD U.S. Government organizations within the Korean peninsula.
SP4 Wayne Scott died of spinal meningitis on July 13, 1964, while serving in Seoul, Korea, and rests forever in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
