CPL Warren A. Loomis

Warren Alonzo Loomis was born Dec 28, 1895, in Barrington, to Alvin and Cora Klink Loomis.
Loomis served a year in Europe during World War I in Company A, 132nd Infantry, seeing action in France, Germany, Belgium, and Luxemburg. After returning from Europe, he spent a year in the Army’s 150th Maintenance Motor Transport, and he was discharged as a Corporal on May 28, 1920.
On September 24, 1921, he married Mabel Lageschulte in Barrington, where they made their home. Loomis was a lifelong resident of Barrington, and worked as a painter of cars, buildings and homes.
CPL Warren Loomis died January 19, 1966 in a Chicago hospital, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
