David W. Kaliski was born May 15, 1972, in Chicago, to Walter and Barbara Kaliski.

Kaliski joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard at the age of 35. He was transferred to active duty in 2016, and served as a First Lieutenant in the Military Police at Guantanamo Bay in Operation Enduring Freedom. Serving his country was one of his proudest moments, and one he treasured deeply and dearly.

An artist and gifted production designer for over 30+ years, his patience and gift for teaching helped grow and develop others to become skilled in design and production.

Those who knew Kaliski will remember him for his infectious smile, deep-rooted faith, and his rare gift for making others laugh.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Karen.

1LT David Kaliski passed away suddenly on October 17, 2024, and is buried at Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
