Clinge Blaun Erickson was born November 4, 1906 in Chicago to Ola and Emma Clinge Erickson.
Erickson spent his life in the area, except for a brief period when he worked as a farm manager and foreman in Bourbon County, Kentucky. He was drafted for service in 1941, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On December 31, 1943, he married Marjorie; they had one child.
Erickson was widely known as a horse trainer, riding instructor and stable manager. He was a member of the Lounsbury Lodge #751, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.
SSGT Blaun Erickson died in his Barrington home on May 14, 1966, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
