Warren Arnold Schneider was born September 20, 1914 in Chicago, to Arnold and Gladys West Schneider.
Schneider served in World War II from Jan 8, 1943 to March 13, 1946 as a Captain in the Headquarters Panama Canal Department. This organization was a geographical command of the U.S. Army charged with the defense of the Panama Canal. He remained in the Army Reserves from 1946 to 1949.
He married Evelyn Lane Harmon in Oak Park on February 14, 1948; they raised three children in Forest Park and Wheeling before moving to North Barrington in 1957.
Professionally, Schneider was a Retail Department Manager. He was active in civic affairs, Boy Scouting, and Masonic Lodge.
Captain Warren Schneider died November 3, 1962 in Libertyville following an extended illness, and is buried at Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
