PFC Milo L. Kelsey

Milo Louis Kelsey was born January 4, 1892 in Cuba Township, to Frank and Mary Pedersen Kelsey.

Kelsey served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Supply Company 2, Field Artillery, as a Private First Class. He enlisted on November 7, 1914, and mustered out at Camp Zachary Taylor in Kentucky on November 10, 1920.

Except for his time in the military, Kelsey lived in Cuba Township. He was self-employed as a building painter and gardener, and never married. He was a member of the Lake Zurich American Legion post.

PFC Milo Kelsey died June 24, 1961 at Illinois Veterans Research Hospital (now the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center) in Chicago. He is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery with his brothers Myron and Wilfred, also USAR Veterans.
