CPL John A. Matysik

John Anton Matysik was born August 2, 1888 in Chicago, to Anton and Antonia Stoska Matysik.
Matysik enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 3, 1917, one of four brothers who served.
He was assigned to Company C, 127th Infantry where he earned a Purple Heart, and was discharged on January 16, 1919.
CPL John Matysik died October 27, 1961, and is buried with his wife, Cora, in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
