PFC Kenneth A. Fredin

Kenneth Arnold Fredin was born March 20, 1938, in Barrington, to Gustaf and Margaret Erickson Fredin.

Fredin graduated from Barrington High School in 1957, then enlisted in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Private First Class.

He had four children with his wife.

Fredin was a pipefitter with Chicago Pipefitters Local 597 for 46 years.

He was an active Veteran -  a member of the American Legion Post 77 in Belvidere, and Post 337 in Genoa, along with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Gilberts. He was also a life member of the Moose Lodge in Huntley, Belvidere, and Mountain Home, Arkansas.

PFC Kenneth Fredin passed away July 27, 2013, in Woodstock. He is buried with his parents in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
