Martin Eugene Roesslein was born September 8, 1923 in Crystal Lake to Martin and Florence Francisco Roesslein.
Roesslein served in the U.S. Army in World War II from 1943 to 1946, attaining the rank of Corporal. He saw action in Normandy and Northern France with the 355th Harbor Craft Company
He married Letty Mae Hironimous of Wauconda on January 29, 1949; they had two sons.
Roesslein worked as a farmer.
CPL Martin Roesslein died April 23, 1953 in Lake County, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
