CPL Alfred C. Dreyer

Alfred Carl Dreyer was born at Barrington Center on July 31, 1894 to Wilhelm and Carolina Dorwaldt Dreyer.
Dreyer served in World War I in Company B, 157th Infantry, attaining the rank of Corporal.
After his military service, the lifelong bachelor moved to California, where 6 of his ten siblings resided, and lived in various locations in the state until his death.
Corporal Alfred Dreyer died in a car accident on September 7, 1954, in Yuba City, California, and is buried with his parents in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
