PVT Irvin L. Jacobson

Irvin LeRoy Jacobson was born in Clarkfield, Minnesota, on May 1, 1891 to Albert and Caroline (Jargo) Jacobson.

After completing his dental education, Jacobson enlisted in the Medical Reserve Corps on May 15, 1917. He served in the base hospital at Ft Riley, Kansas until his honorable discharge on January 4, 1917, as a Private.

He married Pauline Topolinska on June 21, 1919 in Chicago; they had four children.

Jacobson practiced dentistry in Galesburg, before opening a practice in Chicago and locating his family in Barrington.

Private Irvin Jacobson died September 28, 1939, at Wolf Lake in southern Illinois, where he was connected with the Civilian Conservation corps. He is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
