John Gilbert “Jack” Gleason was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on October 30, 1920, to Gilbert and Winifred (Kneeland) Gleason.
Gleason served proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a Private during World War II.
He married Helen M. Lee on April 2, 1943, in Pitman, New Jersey; they raised three children.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Purdue University, Gleason enjoyed a long career at Kraft Foods and Premark Corporation.
After retiring, Gleason worked as a volunteer at the Barrington Library, the Barrington Historical Society and the Palatine Senior Center.
Private John Gleason passed away peacefully on March 26, 2020, at his home in Lake Barrington, and is buried with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery.
