PVT Otto Jepsen

Otto Jepsen was born in 1896, in Denmark to Christian and Marie (Jensen) Jepsen and his wife.
Jepsen emigrated in 1915; he settled in Minnesota, where he worked as a farm laborer.
He was drafted into the 54th Pioneer Infantry in World War I, serving a year in France as a Private. He saw service in the Meuse-Argonne and Alsace campaigns in 1918.
After the war, Jepsen moved to Illinois where his brother lived, and worked as a farm hand.
Private Otto Jepsen died on July 13, 1936, in Bartlett; he is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
