PVT Frank H. Bauer

Frank Henry Bauer was born near Wauconda on December 2, 1895, to John G. and Margaret Baker Bauer.

He grew up in Lake County helping on his father’s farm until he enlisted for World War I service on May 28, 1918. He was assigned as a Private in Company 15, 161st  Depot Brigade, and was honorably discharged on January 16, 1919.

Bauer was unmarried. He provided general labor services in the Palatine and Barrington area for 20 years.

Private Frank Bauer died January 30, 1949, and is buried in the “Old Soldiers” area of Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
