Richard A. Wetterholm
1937 – 2023

Richard Arvid Wetterholm was born in Chicago, on March 5, 1937, to Arvid and Anna (Wiora) Wetterholm.


He graduated from Lane Tech, attended Wright Jr. College and lived in Chicago afterward.

 

Wetterholm served in the U.S. Army in the Rocky Mountain Arsenal until 1962. He later worked for Anderson and Anderson and Associates.


Always the amusement park enthusiast, Wetterholm was a member of roller coaster clubs, and worked at Six Flags Great America for 20 years after retiring from the corporate world.


Richard A. Wetterholm passed tragically and unexpectedly of a heart attack while driving on March 2, 2023. He is buried with his family members at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
