Eugene Field Ullrich, Jr. was born in Chicago, on August 19, 1926, to Eugene and Margaret (Lynch) Ullrich.

He was a graduate of Senn High School in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood.

Ullrich married Aileen D. Hughes in 1951; together they raised two children.

After proudly serving in the Army Air Corps in WWII, he employed his no-nonsense work ethic to build a successful career, retiring from Application Engineering Corporation in 1988.

Ullrich died peacefully on Friday April 15, 2022, and rests with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
