Joseph E. Luecke

Joseph Edward "Joe" Luecke, was born on February 26, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Helen (McCann) Lueke.

He served in the U.S. Army from June, 1945 to February, 1947, and attended La Salle University upon his return.

Lueke married his wife Virginia Joyce Lynch in 1951, in Philadelphia. Together, they raised five daughters.

He began his 40-year career with the Kemper organization in 1951, culminating in roles of President, CEO and Chairman of Kemper National Insurance Companies and Kemper Corporation.

Joseph Luecke passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2022, and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
