T5 Earl I. Pahlke

Earl Irving Pahlke was born in Barrington, Illinois, on September 30, 1922, to William and Florence (Schwemm) Pahlke.

 

He served in the U.S. Army as a Tech 5 during WWII from 1943 until 1945 in the 3rd Army, 2nd Mechanized Cavalry.

 

Pahlke married Fay Sylvia Keteri in Houghton, Michigan, on April 9, 1950; they raised two daughters in Fox River Grove.

 

He was a hard worker, employed from the time he was 17 – working as a residential home carpenter for 50 years. Restless in retirement, Pahlke worked another 19 years at True Value Hardware.

 

Tech 5 Pahlke passed away at his home in Fox River Grove, on April 4, 2005, and rests in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
