Friedrich Hager was born April 29, 1827, in Lanze, Germany; he emigrated in 1852.
Hager married Victoria Kaiser in 1855.
He enlisted with the Union forces on Oct 5, 1864 in Company C, 2nd Illinois Light Artillery, and was honorably discharged August 3, 1865.
PVT Frederick Hager died April 16, 1895, in Barrington; he is buried with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
