PFC John W. Adams

John W. Adams was born in Coddington, Wisconsin, on February 27, 1913, to Fred and Mabel (Prusia) Adams.

He married Helen Traube on June 12, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Adams worked for Alemite Corporation in Woodstock for several years before entering the U.S. Army. He served as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry, and his regiment was the first to enter Germany.   

PFC John W. Adams was killed in action in Germany on November 18, 1944. He rests with his parents at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
