Burnell J. Wollar

Burnell Joseph Wollar was born in Barrington, September 28, 1925, to Joseph and Dorothy Wollar.

He was a 1943 graduate of Barrington High School and 1950 graduate of I.I.T.; he held more than 36 domestic and international patents.

Wollar married his wife, Irene J. McCabe, on January 26, 1945; they raised a son.

He was a proud WWII Army veteran and was an active member of American Legion Post 158 and VFW Post 911. Wollar was an involved citizen as well; he volunteered for 40 years on the Village of Barrington Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Critical Insight Committee, and Village Board.

Wollar passed away peacefully at his home September 10, 2021, and is buried with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery where he once served as a Board member.
