Charles J. Mattison

Charles J. Mattison was born September 22, 1938 in Milwaukee, to Charles E. and Virginia (Bilansky) Mattison.

Mattison was a 1956 graduate of Boys’ Technical High School in Milwaukee. He joined the U.S. Army in 1962, and was eventually posted in Germany, where he was responsible for relaying communication between officers.

He married his wife, Cheri, on November 23, 1980, in Palatine, Illinois.

Mattison spent 20 years as a Christian minister, preaching from the Bible in Wisconsin and Michigan. He was a gentle man who enjoyed trains, clocks, long walks, and nature.

Veteran Charles Mattison passed away on November 18, 2020 in Northbrook, Illinois, and rests at Evergreen Cemetery.
