Donald C. Kendeigh was born on August 18, 1939 in Amherst, Ohio, to Dr. Samuel Charles and Dorothy Sutton Kendeigh.

He attended Champaign High School in Champaign, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. While at U of I, Kendeigh was part of the Army R.O.T.C program, and active in his fraternity, Delta Upsilon.

He met his wife, Mary Evelyn “Lyn” Forestner, in college and married her on August 11, 1962, in East St. Louis. Together they raised three sons and two daughters.

Kendeigh was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and commissioned officer in the Army Reserve.

Kendeigh was a Certified Public Accountant and a finance executive at several national insurance companies. He volunteered his time and talents on several local nonprofits and the Economic Development Commission for the Village of Fox River Grove.

1LT Donald C. Kendeigh, passed away March 14, 2021, surrounded by his family. He is buried with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery.
