Harry Milton Kampert was born April 16, 1915, in Galena, Minnesota to Milton H. and Ruth (Mitchell) Kampert.
Grace A. Stover became his wife on September 5, 1936, in Crystal Lake.

Kampert served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion Post 158 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7706 in Barrington.

He was a former mechanic at Jewel Tea Plant in Barrington and Lever Brothers in Hammond, Indiana, before he co-founded Nu-Block Co. Inc. of Barrington, with his cousin. Kampert was a resident of Barrington for over 70 years.

Sgt. Harry M. Kampert passed away peacefully at the age of 105 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He is buried with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery.
