Robert A. Hagglund was born in Ottowa, Illinois in July, 1932 to Elmer and Mary (Steinbach) Hagglund.
He married Gloria Louise Haley in Ottowa, Illinois on February 19, 1955; they raised five children.
Hagglund served in the US Army following graduation from Marquette University, then went to work for Nuclear-Chicago and progressed through the business holding virtually every line position in the business. He became President of 4 companies in the scientific instrument and medical imaging fields: MIL, Nuclear-Chicago, Searle Radio Graphics, Siemens Medical, and EMI Medical the inventor of Nuclear Medicine CT K Scanner and MRI equipment.
He loved sailing with his wife and friends on Starborne.
Veteran Hagglund passed away April 10, 2021, and rests with his wife at Evergreen Cemetery.
