Michael J. Egan

Michael J. “Jerry” Egan was born February 11, 1928 in County Kerry, Ireland to John and Catherine (Begley) Egan; he immigrated to the U.S. in 1949.   

Egan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, attaining rank of Master Sergeant and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Star, Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Medal and a Purple Heart. 

He married Mary Louise Hudnutt; together they raised three children. 

Egan was known for his love of family, race horses, poker and gardening.

MSG Jerry Egan passed away on July 2, 2021, and is buried with his wife in Evergreen Cemetery.
