Gerald G. Echternach

Gerald G. "Gerry" Echternach was born on April 2, 1931, to Malcolm and Margaret (Borgerson) Echternach.

After graduating from Beloit College, Echternach married Dulcie A. Dunker on September 6, 1953; together they raised four children. Three days after his marriage, he reported for duty in the US Army, serving in Germany for two years.

He worked as a research chemist at American Can Company in Barrington for 38 years and was a long-time member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Veteran Echternach passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2020, and rests at Evergreen Cemetery with his wife.
