SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Under the direction of the Digital Services Manager, support the overall mission of the library by effectively providing digital library services to customers and the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide digital services support to customers and staff.
- Provide technical guidance on a variety of applications, software, and equipment such as 3D printers, CNC machine, laser cutter, and vinyl cutting machine with customers. Troubleshoot equipment within the Digital Services spaces.
- Carry out projects successfully while enhancing the customer’s experience through exceptional service.
- Support staff during programs that feature MakerLab and Studio.
- Schedule and facilitate 1:1 appointments with customers.
- Monitor and send jobs from the 3D print queue.
- Resolve technology questions related to e-books, digital media production and personal devices within the scope of the position.
- Participate in outreach events where Digital Services are needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with makerspace technology.
- Basic knowledge of digital content platforms such as Libby, Hoopla, Adobe Creative Cloud, and iLife suite is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
